A WOC Space Blog
Teachings, learnings, and tips & tricks for anyone to reference during difficult times, stressful workdays, and moments when manifesting your true self.
Dear Karen
Instead of using your privilege for good and addressing our concerns, you get defensive, fragile, tearful, fearful. You block people on social media while your bio screams #AmplifyBlackVoices, we tell you what you’re doing isn’t helping us, yet you respond, "Well, at least it is something!" Check out our blog
Yes, I do have a father
“Too often do you see minorities brought into the workforce without the proper tools and practices to foster inclusion and growth. I share the vision of A WOCSpace, to change the workplace culture, where communication barriers are broken down and stereotypes are known but never placed on people.” Check out our blog by Camille Gaynus
Juneteenth
Growing up in the Mt. Airy/Germantown section of Philadelphia, Juneteenth celebrations have been filled with jubilation, family, hope, and joy. Excited like a grad student!

Triple Threat
“With a touch of spice and a hint of sweet, I am book smart, and street smart. You can thank my family and heritage for that. The best thing in life comes in three, just look at our founders. We are three amazing ladies ready to create space to combat barriers that threaten us.” Check out our blog by Kelcie Chiquillo
I got gaslit, again
“This simple exchange is a prime example of “Gaslighting”, and you may have also noticed my question never got answered. “ Check out our blog by Tiara Moore
Black Amnesia
“During this historic time, we must be present, in our families, our work, our relationships, but most importantly, we must be present for ourselves, and that starts with not forgetting…” Check out our blog by Camille Gaynus
The birth of A Virtual WOCSpace
Folks are dying, economies are plummeting, societies are an inch away from a revolution, and as many of us cope with the many flavors of what being at home entails, one universal thing feels true, we are remotely watching the end of the world. How is it that 2020 is what 2012 tried so hard to be?
We Won’t Be Defeated: The Resilience of A WOC Space, LLC
“We are now stronger than ever and realize this space is vital for the preservation and empowerment of women of color. With that in mind, and in order to promote solidarity as we reclaim our virtual WOCSpace.” Check out our blog by Tiara Moore
